Step 1:
The first time you log in to LocalLook, you’ll be prompted to set up your 2FA method. You can choose to verify your account using SMS (text) or Phone Call.
Step 2:
After you select your preferred 2FA method and click “Next”, you’ll be prompted to enter either your phone number. This is where you’ll receive your verification method.
TIP: You can change and/or update your preferred 2FA method at any time in your Account Settings. See help article "Changing and/or Updating your 2FA method" for instructions.
Once you provide your delivery phone number and click the "Send" button we’ll immediately send you a verification code.
Note: Due to variations in phone carriers and email providers some users may experience a slight delay in delivery of their code. Please allow up to 3 minutes to receive your code before clicking resend.
Step 3:
Once received, enter your code into the designated field and click the “Verify” button.
TIP: If you consistently use the same device (laptop, tablet, etc..) to access LocalLook, you can check the box labeled “Trust this device for 30 days” before clicking the “Verify” button. This feature will prevent you from having to reverify your identity each time you log in on that device for a span of 30 days. After 30 days, you’ll need to re-verify your identity.
NOTE: There can be only 1 trusted device on your account at a time. If you use multiple devices to log in, we suggest setting your most-used device as the trusted device. You will still need to verify your identity each time you log in from your secondary device. Checking this box when logging in from another device with overwrite the current trusted device.
Issues receiving your code
If you find you’re unable to receive verification messages using the delivery method you chose, you can click the link labeled “Verify your account using a different 2FA Method” to try using one of the other code delivery options.
